The Shannon Chronicles: A Girl's Journey to Ireland

Shannon is sent to live with her grandparents in Ireland after her mother's death. Shannon's grandfather is a strict man and Shannon is not allowed to leave the house or talk to anyone outside of the family . Shannon is bored and lonely until she meets Sean. Sean is also living with his grandparents and he is also bored and lonely. Shannon and Sean become friends and start to explore the countryside around their homes . They discover a hidden cave that no one knows about. Shannon and Sean spend all of their free time in the cave, talking and exploring. Shannon's grandfather finds out about the cave and forbids Shannon from going there. Shannon is heartbroken and decides to run away. Sean helps her to pack a bag and gives her a map of the area. Shannon sets off into the countryside, not knowing where she is going. Shannon eventually comes to a small town and finds a job working in a bakery. Shannon is happy to be able to earn her own money and to be able to explore the town. Shannon is happy with her new life, until her grandfather comes to find her. Shannon's grandfather is angry that she ran away, but Shannon is happy to be back with her friend Sean.
